Rich Walk was born out of a passion for travel, storytelling, and the desire to change the way people experience India.
It all started in 2015, when Aditya (fondly known as Richi) was learning Spanish in Delhi. While studying, he began guiding travelers, sharing the beauty of India with visitors from around the world. His love for this grew, and he pursued his official guide license, fully embracing the art of storytelling and cultural exchange.
However, as he spent more time in the industry, he noticed some troubling patterns. Many guides were misleading tourists, taking them to commission-based shopping stores, where they were pressured to buy things they didn’t need. Instead of offering genuine cultural experiences, these tours prioritized profits over people. This was not the kind of India he wanted travelers to see.
Additionally, through his research and conversations with travelers, he discovered that many female tourists felt unsafe exploring alone, often hesitant to trust local guides unless they were in a group. He realized there was a need for a safe, ethical, and community-driven alternative that put travelers first.
Determined to create a trustworthy, tip-based platform, Aditya founded Rich Walk—a movement dedicated to offering free, high-quality walking tours and experiences where guests could pay what they felt was fair without being pressured into unnecessary purchases.
More than just a tour company, Rich Walk became a community of like-minded people—locals who genuinely love sharing their city and travelers who seek meaningful, immersive experiences.
